FA Cup: Rovers and Man City Share the Spoil at Ewood Park.

Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers scored one goal apiece to end their FA Cup third-round tie on an inconclusive note at Ewood Park on Saturday.

City opened scoring on the nick of half-time as Alvaro Negredo slotted in at the far post after Edin Dzeko flicked on David Silva’s corner.
The hosts forced a replay, which is likely to hold on the 15th of January at the Etihad Stadium, when Costel Pantilimon fumbled a Rudy Gestede header to let Scott Dann sidefoot the ball home.

Jesus Navas failed to restore the visitors’ lead as Blackburn’s DJ Campbell also headed wide a Jordan Rhodes cross at the other end, during an exciting final 10 minutes while it looked the last season losing-finalists were going to lose again. City’s Dedryck Boyata was sent-off for his second booking for a bad foul five minutes to the dead.
